SOS Medica Mongolia Ulaanbaatar International Hospital’s Clinical Laboratory has successfully passed its re-accreditation assessment under the ISO 15189:2022 standard for Medical Laboratories – Requirements for Quality and Competence. This achievement confirms that the laboratory fully meets international standards for diagnostic accuracy, testing quality, safety, and operational excellence.

The assessment was conducted by the U.S.-based International Accreditation Service (IAS), with the participation of representatives from the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) and observers from the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). These organizations provided independent oversight to ensure that the assessment process complied with international accreditation principles and requirements. This milestone confirms that our laboratory’s operations are capable of meeting internationally recognized standards and are acknowledged at a global level for their competence and reliability.

Our clinical laboratory was initially accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) in 2022 under the ISO 15189:2012 standard for Medical Laboratories – Requirements for Quality and Competence. It successfully underwent a surveillance assessment in 2023 and was subsequently accredited in 2024 under the updated ISO 15189:2022 standard.
